Status of Tri-Star Petroleum Exploration Licences 122 and 123
February 27, 2019
Tri-Star Petroleum’s draft Statement of Objectives and Environmental Impact Report are still progressing through the approval process under the provisions of the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Act 2000.
Tri-Star will continue to apply for a suspension of PELs 122 and 123 until such time that the Department of Energy and Mining has completed its review process and made a decision.
Suspending petroleum exploration licences is a routine and common practice proactively employed by oil and gas exploration companies in South Australia, and is permitted under the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Act 2000.
