Andrew Hackwood

Andrew was appointed to the position of Country Manager, Australia in 2018. Andrew is a member of the Executive Management Team and is responsible for managing Tri-Star’s Australian day to day operations and positioning the company’s business strategy to achieve diversity and growth in the market. In his role, Andrew oversees the functions of Asset Management, Commercial, Legal, Procurement, Finance, Land & Tenures, Government & Public Affairs and HR in Australia.
Prior to joining Tri-Star, Andrew was an executive at Santos for over 8 years, where he held leadership roles with responsibility for commercial, joint venture management, business development, commercial operations, economics and strategy and third-party gas.
Earlier in his career, Andrew was an investment banker with Macquarie Bank and a lawyer with Allens.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment (Corporate Finance) from the Securities Institute of Australia and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
