Richard Ball, Tri-Star Group's Vice President of Geosciences, brings a wealth of experience in the energy and geology sectors. His culture first approach, A&D expertise and subsurface experience help the team to quickly screen deals.
Richard's career includes a significant role as Director - Geology, U.S. – Onshore at Detring Energy Advisors, contributing to the firm's remarkable growth from startup to a well-established mid-cap boutique company. His responsibilities encompassed presentations in sell-side data rooms, subsurface evaluations, and mapping in various active basins.
At Chevron, Richard served as a Development Geologist in Angola Block 0 – Offshore, Exploration Geologist in the Gulf of Mexico - Deep Water, and Development Geologist in the San Juan Basin – Onshore, where his work led to significant discoveries and contributions to drilling projects.
With a Master of Science in Geology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology, Richard's educational foundation is strong. He is also a Certified Petroleum Geologist. Active in community service, Richard's dedication extends beyond his professional role, making him an invaluable asset to Tri-Star Group, promoting excellence and innovation in the energy sector.
