Ryan Birkenfeld
Executive Vice President - Exploration
Ryan was appointed as the Executive Vice President - Exploration at Tri-Star in April 2023, where he is responsible for overseeing the deal pipeline and growing production for the US business with a focus on petroleum assets. With over 25 years of diversified global experience in E&P geoscience-focused exploration and development, Ryan is a highly experienced executive.
Prior to joining Tri-Star, Ryan held leadership positions in technical, commercial, and operational roles in the oil and gas industry. He has worked with supermajor oil and gas companies such as Shell and ExxonMobil and large domestic oil and gas companies such as EOG Resources, Apache Corp. and Devon Energy, bringing extensive knowledge and expertise to his role at Tri-Star.
Ryan is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, holding a Master of Science in Geology, Bachelor of Science in Geology and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. His academic background and extensive industry experience make him a valuable asset to the Tri-Star team.
